Kindred Rebinds by Kindred Legends

By placing an order with Kindred Rebinds, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully before purchasing.

1. Overview

Kindred Rebinds provides a custom book rebind service, where customer-supplied books are transformed into handcrafted, bespoke editions. Each piece is made to order and is considered a personalised service.

2. Customer Supplied Books

Customers are responsible for ensuring:

• Books sent for rebind are in acceptable condition for binding
• Books are packaged securely for transit
• The correct books are sent for their order

Kindred Rebinds is not responsible for:

• Pre-existing damage to books
• Loss or damage caused during shipping to our studio

3. Shipping Responsibility

All orders include two-way shipping charges:

• Customer to Kindred Rebinds studio
• Return shipping back to customer

Once parcels are handed to the postal carrier, responsibility for delivery transfers to the shipping provider.

We are not liable for:

• Delays in transit
• Lost or delayed parcels
• Damage caused by postal handling

We will assist where possible in resolving shipping issues with carriers.

4. Shipping Classes

Orders must use the correct shipping class based on order size:

• Rebind My Copy (single book)
• Trilogy (up to 3 books)
• 5 Book Series (up to 5 books)

Incorrect selection may result in additional charges or delays in processing.

5. Production Timeframes

Each rebind is handcrafted and production times may vary depending on:

• Order complexity
• Current workload
• Material availability

Estimated timeframes are typically 6 weeks or indicated via direct communication if not able to meet the timeline.

These are estimates only and not guaranteed delivery dates.

6. Custom Work & Variations

Each rebind is individually handmade. As such:

• Minor variations in colour, texture, and finish are expected
• No two rebinds will be exactly identical
• These variations are part of the handcrafted nature of the product

7. Payments

Full payment is required at the time of purchase unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Orders will not begin processing until payment has been received in full.

8. Cancellations & Refunds

Because each order is custom-made:

• Cancellations are only accepted before work has begun
• Once materials are prepared or work has started, cancellations may not be possible
• Refunds are not provided for change of mind

If there is an issue with your order, please contact us so we can resolve it fairly.

9. Damaged or Faulty Work

If your finished rebind arrives damaged or there is a quality issue, please contact us within 7 days of receipving your rebind with photos.

We will assess the issue and, where appropriate:

• Repair the item
• Replace the item
• Offer an alternative resolution
• Shipping will be at the cost of Kindred Rebinds if the issues are our responsibility.

This does not include damage caused by postal handling.

10. Intellectual Property

All designs, branding, and creative concepts used by Kindred Rebinds remain the intellectual property of Kindred Legends unless otherwise agreed.

Custom customer-provided materials remain the property of the customer and the assert the right that they are original and not voiding any copyright laws.

11. Right to Refuse Service

Kindred Rebinds reserves the right to refuse any order that:

• Is unsuitable for rebind due to condition or structure
• Contains materials that cannot be safely worked with
• Violates any legal or ethical standards

In such cases, a full refund will be issued if payment has already been made and work has not commenced.
